Junk food

Approximately 30% of non-Hispanic white adults were obese as were 45.0% of non-Hispanic black adults and 36.8% of Mexican Americans. The findings are that the rate of obesity differs due to race because of the foods that are prevalent among the races. For example, among African Americans we find obesity because of the soul food that they eat. This food is typical drenched in butter, oils, and fried and usually serve with breads and sugary desserts like cake. In Mexican Americans it has a lot to do with the flour and bred that’s made to eat along with large amounts of rice. These races are use to their typical and traditional foods. However, they don’t realize that too much of them could be harmful and leads to the rise in our countries obesity rates.
